I'm only writing to keep my site.  just so you guys know.  it's been almost 2 years since the last time i wrote on here. 

so much has changed.

sometime soon i hope to write about it.  but for now, i'm gonna go live it.

i've finally decided to update. two months without an update.  shocking, i know.  i'm not going to get into details on what i've been doing since school got out.  we don't have time for that.  so i'll try to keep it short.

so far the summer has been pretty mellow.  took a road trip right after school got out.  worked seven days a week between the two jobs for the first month of summer. (sometimes both in one day)  but my work schedule has started to spread out and slow down a lot, which is nice.  it gives me a chance to go to the lake and spend time with Rachel.  almost a week at her house.  it was soooooo awesome.  thanks rach!! 

i was sick last week.  really sick.  temperature of 103.  couldn't sleep.  throat so swollen i could barely breathe for awhile.  Billy told me i sounded like a guy when i was talking to him on the phone.  ouch.  but i went to the doctor, he gave me antibiotics for Tonsilitis, and now i'm good as new.  it sucked being stuck in the house.

sometimes i love summer, sometimes i hate it.

i'm going to bismarck on Thursday.  I'm going to spend Thursday night with Billy.  it's gonna be just the two of us.  i'm really excited.  i miss that kid.  then friday i'm going to Nomi's to spend the rest of the weekend with her.  it's her birthday on thursday, but she's going out with her cousin and friends.  i'm not old enough, so Billy offered to entertain me for the night.  i might even be staying at his house.  words can't express how much i am anticipating this wonderful weekend. 

i love driving my car.  three hours in the car.  just me, my newly burned CDs, and the road.  nothing is better than that.  i miss long road trips.

summer leaves me with lots of time to think.  too much time=too much thinking.  gets me into trouble, ya know?  so many emotions i've gone through in the last few weeks.  what happened??  nothing--that's the point.

the last week of school was super crazy and really stressful.  but it was also filled with wonderful memories. 

end of the year tradition...an awesome thing. 

checkouts went wonderfully, weible even finished before RJ this year!!  amazing, yes, i know.  afterwards, Andy Roufs put together a little bonfire at Lindenwood just for the RJ/Weible Staff.  it was so nice to get to talk to people, eat a ton of s'mores, and smoke a few cigars.  yes, i smoke cigars.  not all the time.  only when the moment calls for it.  and last night was one of those moments.  we had so much fun, just standing around talking and laughing.  it was good to end the year on a high note.   

after the campfire, we headed back to weible.  the rest of the night was amazing. 

it's so hard to put into words everything i'm feeling right now.  here's a few: happy, relieved, excited, nervous.  nervous in a good way.  there's so much going on for me this summer.  i know some people in town, i've got people to visit.  two jobs to work and two classes to take. 

i can't wait for road trips...that is what summer is all about for me.  i hope i get to take a few.

anyway, must pack and clean up.  gotta go to work soon.

My Weekend

Friday:  Staff retreat at the Sunset Motel.  so much fun!  there was a lot of laughing, tons of eating, and a little bit of crying-but only in a happy way!  favorite parts of the night....the "touch someone that..." game, the Touchstone activity, and Brad talking to the creepy stalker guy on the phone.  so funny!!

Saturday:  t-shirt tie-dying.  not many girls showed up, but it was still fun.  i'm excited to see what my shirt looks like.  i also went to Taco Bell w/Linsey.  super great, but i didn't feel well afterwards.  and then Ben made me watch Monte Python and the Search for the Holy Grail.  i think it would have been much better if i hadn't felt nauseous before starting it.

Sunday:  slept through the morning.  got up, took a shower, and went to my parents's house.  came back, went to supper, had a nice chat with Billy and Pete.  then it was off to meetings with next year's staff and Hall Gov after that.  and now, i just finished my third test for my online Life Span Development course.  86 out of 90!!  i'm doing very well in that class.  76/80, 88/90, and 86/90.  one more test, then i'm done!  i think i'll do it tomorrow though, i'm tired now.

off to bed--i've got a really busy week coming up.
